Course Objectives The aim of this course is to understand the knowledge of basic chemistry for professional applications.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define basic concepts in general chemistry
  • Identify the concepts of chemical bonds
  • Explain type of chemical reactions.
  • Define the features of mixtures used for cleaning optical equipment
  • Explain the concepts of acid and base
  • Identify raw materials constitutive frame of spectacle and contact lens
  • Describe chemical structure of glasses used for spectacles and ocular systems
Course Description This course includes the general chemistry topics that students can use in their professional practice and the properties of different chemical structures such as polymers and glasses that they use.
